The Black Sheep Pub and Restaurant, Philadelphia's favorite Irish pub since 1999, is just a few steps from historic Rittenhouse Square. Our three-story colonial townhouse houses antique bars and a fireplace to make you feel right at home. We offer a wide selection of drinks from around the world to enjoy at lunch, dinner or with a late-night snack. Try our house specialties like the shepherd's pie or Guinness Irish stew plus plenty of other traditional favorites. The Black Sheep has six TVs including one plasma screen on the main floor. Stop by for our weekday happy hour and a round of darts or one of our other special events. Celebrate your special event at The Black Sheep. We accommodate up to 15 guests in our main dining area or up to 200 guests in our private event space with a buffet, passed hors d’oeuvres, or seated dinners. Our second floor holds up to 65 guests with a minimum of 35 guests to keep it private. The rental fee is $200-$400 Our basement bar holds up to 45 guests with a minimum of 25 to keep it private. The rental fee is $100-$300 Our first floor holds up to 90 guests and fees are vary. A minimum of 65-65 guests is required. Room privacy averages 3 hours. **Groups smaller than the minimum may make reservations, the room would not be private except the area we reserve for you.

I was yearning some English grub so where better than an Irish pub?! Anyway, the waiter was really friendly and the food was excellent. I had the Shepherds Pie (The waiter already knew it should be called Cottage Pie as it was made with beef rather than lamb), and we had a lamb chop starter. Both were delicious. The Philly Steak sandwich was also excellent. I was surprised when we got the bill as it seemed so cheap for the amount of food and accompanying drinks. Highly recommend this place.

Best place to watch Manchester United Soccer games. I repeat it. Undoubtedly one of the most favorite place in Philly. The beers are not expensive, great staff and electric atmosphere when you are there at game time. Made some really good friends there and would love to watch all the games this season at Black Sheep Pub. 🔴GGMU

Cool spot with a large variety of drinks. Happy hour lasts longer than most places in the area and the food i tried was above par without being pretentious. I'll definitely go back
