Melograno BYOB is a contemporary 3 bell Italian Restaurant located in Rittenhouse Square, which was also recognized in Bon Appetit's Top Tables. Roman-born Chef Demontis transforms traditional Italian food and elevates its flavors. Using only fresh seasonal ingredients, the menu includes a variety of seafood, meats as well housemade pastas and vegetarian dishes.

Ethereal pastas and other inventive Roman specialties pack 'em in to this warm Italian BYOB in Rittenhouse. Melograno is a staple in Philadelphia's famous and ever growing food scene. My wife made reservations here for a Saturday night with her family in town from all along the east coast. They showed up early on the day of and were told their reservation was not in the system. After she showed them her call log, they proceeded to tell her that a reservation could not have been made in the duration of time that the call was made. Mind you, I was standing next to her earlier in the week when she made the reservation. Melagrano, when there has been an error made in a reservation that was most certainly on your end, please try to reconcile that error with your customers rather than calling them liars and turning them away. We won’t be coming back.

The food was pretty good, and the service was decent at best. One of the hostesses was a bit surly to my grandmother, which was unfortunate. My parents really enjoyed our meal. However, the food took about 55 minutes to be served. Many other tables got their food before us. I personally really enjoyed the risotto, which is pictured.

The food is good. It's BYOB so that's perfect. It might get busy and crowded on weekends. The only down side is that the service is too slow. Nice, but slow.

Great dining experience for a party of 10. Staff was very attentive and checked in frequently. Food quality was excellent! All dishes ordered were very flavorful and satisfying! Highly recommended!

We celebrated a birthday for our friend. Large group, the staff was friendly and fun. They did a great job. The food was fantastic. We can't wait to go back.
