This Jamaican take out restaurant is dedicated not only to the memory of Winnifred Johnston and her secret recipes, some with a twist, but also to her warm, welcoming spirit that made everyone feel like they were at home. So, give the food a try! We just returned from our 4th trip to Jamaica and every time I come home I immediately miss everything about it, the beauty of the island, the people, and of course the food. I was surprised to learn just last week that this restaurant was 5 minutes from my house & I never knew it was there. We popped in last night & picked up some jerk chicken with rice & peas, fried plantains & cocoa bread. This is what I can say, I'm glad I found it, it's a nice reminder of our favorite place and we'll be back soon to try everything else on their menu - thank you Miss Winnies! ps. please add escovitch to the menu :-), Marc

Love the jerk food here. The jerk pork sandwich is my favorite with the jerk chicken right behind. Fried plantains and sweet potato fries are both very good. This is a must stop place for me whenever I am in the area.

We met a long time Jamaican friend here on 6/29/19 and had a great time enjoying the terrific and friendly owner, Nick, his amazing Dad, Burt (the chef), and their amazing food!! We cannot recommend highly enough!!! My husband and I had the Oxtail dinner.... very delish!!! And the plate was loaded!! We only wish them continued success and blessings!!!!

Friendly staff, clean restaurant and the food? Where is the rest of it? The food and the seasoning. Not only does the food taste fresh out the microwave but it lacks flavor. This is definitely not authentic Jamaican. In addition, the box was essentially empty.

I have to say, this is amazing Jamaican food for an even better price. The food was superb. My girlfriend and I ate there and she both had never had Jamaican food and has no heat tolerance at all. She still loved it. Furthermore, the father and son duo that runs the place (Burt and Nick) are very friendly and accommodating people. Thank you guys for the great Jamaican! I look forward to my next visit.
