La Viola Ovest (West) is a family owned Italian BYOB restaurant located at 252 S. 16th Street Philadelphia PA. The original La Viola Bistro, located directly across the street, was so popular guests were often waiting for hours to be seated. In 2006 the family decided to expand and open LaV iola West, to appease their loyal fan base. Expect the same great food and service that La Viola patrons love, now at a second location with an expanded menu. La Viola West also has a gorgeous private event space and outdoor garden fit for any family or corporate affair. Make La Viola a part of your family by celebrating your event with us! La Viola is a perfect place to host your special occasion, family or corporate event. Both the East and West locations allow you to book private events reserving tables for large parties. Our La Viola West location has a brand new special event room that seats up to 100 guests comfortably, with round tables, a beautiful stone wall, custom wine cabinets and a large flat screen TV with wifi presentation abilities. Book your event small or large, and receive the great attention and detail from our staff, prix fixed menu options and more. We offer 2 prix fixe menus for parties, available for Lunch or Dinner. Two Courses for $20-$30 and Three Courses for $30-$40. For availability and customized menu please call 215.735.8631 or 215.736.8630. We are happy to discuss the details that will make your event a special one. 20% gratuity will be added to parties of six or more. There will be a $3.00 per person charge if you choose to bring your own cake.

We had to get to Theater and were late because of traffic. They had their usual outstanding food and served us very quickly so we made it to Theater on time. Fantastic restaurant - reasonable prices and BYOB!

Wow! Where to start. We were a group of 9, visiting during restaurant week, and couldn't be happier. Menu pricing was reasonable, serving size was generous and every item on the menu looked incredible. Service was excellent too. Waitstaff was personable, knew the menu very well, and service was quick. Highly reccomended. Note of importance, if you plan on drinking, this place is a "Bring your own" establishment.

So unpretentious, yet so delicious. No hip decor to lure you in, but all the dishes are excellent. I get tired of over flavored food in restaurants, this was such a nice break from contemporary fair with sweet and savory mixed all in one and sprinkled with designer bitters to top it off. The service could be better, but how often do you get good service in Europe? Let’s just say that it’s excellent European food with, alas, European service.

It was a terrible experience I ever had in a restaurant. First, the service was horrible, the waiters don't even say hello, they don't offer anything to drink, somebody comes and pour tap water in your glass and that's what you get. Second, the food was tasteless, from appetizer to dessert, I asked for white sauce and it was dirty water. Any chain like Olive Garden or Macaroni & cheese is way better. Do not waste your time and money. If you are looking for the best Italian experience in Philadelphia, go to Dante & Luigi's!

This was a gem to discover! It’s cash only and BYOB. Buy a bottle and come enjoy some delicious Italian food. The outdoor seating is on the sidewalk but it’s still nice to be outside. The customer service is excellent. I would definitely recommend this place.
