About

Our philosophy is to eat what you love and love what you eat. So, at South Gate Philly, we hope to bring a taste of the food and drinks that excite and inspire us. As children, we grew up with the spicy, sweet, salty, tangy and tart flavors of Korea at home. While, at school and with friends, we indulged in the American comforts of burgers, pizza and sandwiches. With our unique menu, we hope to combine the best of both worlds and introduce Korean flavors to new palates. All your familiar favorites, elevated with a little Korean flair. South Gate is located in the Rittenhouse/GradHo neighborhood, at the corner of 18th & Lombard St.

Cool spot that I randomly walked by. The menu looked great and the happy hour item selection was great value. Got the Seoul hot chicken sandwich and the wings. Would highly recommend both. Would love to go back and try more things.

Nice service, interesting drinks. Hot chicken sandwich was spicy enough, but batter and chicken overcooked. Fry sauce was good

Delicious food, great setting, and amazing staff. We were fortunate enough to be there during restraunt week and the menu really gave us a chance to experience a lot of what they had. Would be perfect for date night, dinner with friends, or just because you wanted to treat yourself.

Great food and excellent service. The food was delicious and timely. Our mixed drinks were perfect and the bartenders were very friendly. This is one of the best Korean fusion places I have found. Their happy hour specials are also worth checking out.
