Sampan is an oasis of contemporary Asian small plates located in the heart of Center City, Philadelphia's hot Midtown Village neighborhood. Amazing restaurant... food is ridiculous... awesome for a date or anniversary... also groups... I wouldn't bring little kids but teens and up work..

I have a severe shellfish allergy. I came with a large group of coworkers, explained my situation and they were incredibly accommodating, offering special variations and dishes that I could eat. I hate being high maintenance but they were wonderful and everything I ate was incredible. Sampan, I can’t thank you enough for taking such good care of me!

We had an amazing dinner after the Eagles game. Our server Rachel suggested the chef’s tasting and her knowledge of all the dishes was impressive. She was extremely attentive and all the food was delicious. I will definitely be back!!

This is a wonderful Asian fusion restaurant with many good option. They have plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan-friendly, too, so ask the server for those menus if you need it. Portions are generous and great for sharing and sampling with friends. The upscale, intimate ambience is great for date night.
