First, make sure to make reservations! Even on a Thursday night, it gets very busy here. Also, don't make a judgement on what to order off the online menu...the list of specials is practically as long as main menu. I ordered the Veal Piccata for my entree and I'm glad I ordered a side of pasta. The veal does not come with a side. If you're hungry, it won't be enough. Which is great because the portion size is just right. You don't walk out completely stuffed.One last item...make sure to bring your wallet. Saloon is not inexpensive. Dinner for two, with tip, came out to around $250

The saloon never disappoints!!! Celebrated my wife’s birthday yesterday & the food / ambiance / service & beverages were outstanding !!! It is our go to place!!!! Thank you saloon staff especially Alexis & marty for an outstanding evening !!

Elegant old-world atmosphere with first class dining experience. Exceptional traditional Italian cuisine from appetizers to post dinner cocktails. Perfect for celebrations, family gatherings or simply a nightcap barside (upstairs or downstairs) or an afternoon cappuccino and homemade dessert with your girlfriend. My husband and I celebrated our recent nuptials at this lovely spot. The meal was incredible and moment unforgettable. We shall return very soon!

Amazing south Philadelphia Italian restaurant. The best Italian food I've had in Philadelphia, which is saying a lot. Everything on their menu is incredible. The desserts are out of this world delicious (trust me, you want to save room for dessert. Their bakers are first class). All this with a wonderful ambiance, as its nestled in the very cozy Bella Vista area of Philadelphia. My fiance and I go there frequently, and they treat us like family. I cannot recommend Saloon highly enough.
