Located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, Mission Taqueria is a lively Mexican cantina that specializes in delivering modern presentation with traditional methods with each and every dish they serve. The crew behind Oyster House has created a second floor space above their Rittenhouse Square location that features broad communal tables and some of the best Mexican food in the city. Mission Taqueria makes their own tortillas and fresh ground masa and can provide you with everything from burritos and fish tacos to frozen margaritas and other cocktails.

This restaurant is... not good. The food is actually tasty, which is why I gave it two stars, but if it's insanely overpriced. The tacos are as small as humanly possible, and we spent $300 to barely feed five adults and had to go to another restaurant later because we were all still hungry. But worst of all, this restaurant is really, really LOUD. They have fully embraced the recent "warehouse chic" aesthetic with high ceilings, hard surfaces, and an open kitchen. If you come here on a Friday or Saturday night when it's full, expect to lose your voice shouting at the person across from you, just so they can barely make it what you are saying. A very unpleasant experience.

Amazing. Just, amazing. We went on a friday night and the place was packed. However, we went to the bar and got happy hour ($6 wines!!!) and we were seated fairly quickly. We got some guacamole to share which was great. The chips were great too and they give you a lot. I got the cauliflower taco, and the chicken mole taco, and my friend got the shrimp taco & cauliflower taco. Everything about both of the tacos was just perfect. Also, the corn tortillas were homemade🤤 It was so good that we went back this Monday (3 days later😅) for lunch before our trip ended. The second time was I got the arugula salad with chicken (really good) and my friend got the Harvest bowl with shrimp and we shared the cauliflower tacos. Everything was delicious. However, the second time around the cauliflower had so much oil I literally took it out and tried to remove the excess with a napkin. Also, the hostess at lunch seemed to be in a bad mood for some reason and was not friendly at all. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place. If you open in Florida let me know 😅

I love this place. I went for lunch and the menu is reduced from the dinner menu but still excellent. I had a killer margarita that kept me buzzed for a couple hours (I don't drink much anymore but it was strong). The guacamole is excellent. I had the mole tacos and I fell in love with them. The place itself is bright and clean with good service. It was like an oasis on Sansom Street (which feels more like an alley than a street). That said my partner and I ordered it through Caviar and he was less impressed. I loved every taco I tried; however, he thought everything needed more salt but he loved their fresh tortilla chips.

Delicious!!!! My cocktail was made to absolute perfection!!! Food was overpriced and they have petty policies like no sharing the $35.00 table platter.I thought that was really odd !!! It was extremely loud and crowded and where we were sitting it was pink lighting Oh yeah, the restrooms are an open concept for both men and women . There is one area for men and women to wash their hands.... I actually liked that. Overall, my daughter and I loved it ... it brought back fond memories of Mexico. Peace & Love

10/10 for sure ! I journeyed from Maryland to Philadelphia to try out this wonderful brunch and I absolutely loved the entire service from beginning to end. Located on the second floor, Mission Taqueria is a beautiful restaurant with a great vibe. There are is a lot of room and someone was even hosting a birthday party there. The first stop was the bar for a good non-alcoholic drink after the long drive. The bartender made me the best virgin drink that I’ve ever had. My girlfriends ordered some of the recommended drinks from the main menu and were all very pleased! Food: we ordered the guacamole and the corn to share in our table. They were both delicious and the corn had a nice spicy kick to it. The Guacamole was made to perfection. I didn’t order from the main brunch menu. I ended up eating the shrimp tacos and they were absolutely divine. I would highly recommend this restaurant for brunch and dinner. The location is stunning and you will have a great time! I will definitely return!
