About

When trying to think of a new name, a picture of an iris flower kept popping into my head, which was my mom's favorite flower. I looked up the meaning and it summed up everything that I wanted this new transition to embody: "The iris flower earned its name from the ancient Greek Goddess Iris, a messenger to the gods who was thought to use a rainbow as a bridge between heaven and earth." It has a celestial connection to Astral Plane (the ground breaking restaurant that made its home here for 30 years before us) and the building's history, a family connection for me, and the rainbow is a unifier to connect us all. We added midnight because this place really comes alive at night and our guests are truly beautiful late night flowers.

Very cool decor and multi-level layout..Awesome freaky bathrooms! Board games and free Ms. Pacman and Space Invaders! Kind of weak drink menus , but they will make you anything you want. Great service

Food and atmosphere was amazing! Our server was extremely friendly and attentive for working both the bar and dining area. Definitely is worth the visit and we will be coming back with friends very soon! Highly highly recommend!!!

Great neighborhood bar. The upstairs area is Great selection of beer and cocktails. The appetizer menu was surprisingly delicious. I recommend the chicken tenders!

Doris M is amazing. She was so fun and answered all of my beer questions easily! The food was also delicious and well-priced. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend it to a friend!

I don’t think I could say enough good things about this place. Our Airbnb (visiting from Spokane, WA) was only a block away and we randomly wandered in to get a drink before we explored the city. Doris is hands down the best bartender we’ve ever met. She gave us a tour of the bar and shared amazing information about the building. She treated us like family and we couldn’t be more appreciative. She makes an amazing old fashioned, the best my husband said he has ever had! We ended up having a few drinks, exploring and then heading back later that evening. We also had to stop the next night for drinks. Not only is this place so beautifully and tastefully restored, but the staff is just amazing. We met everyone on staff, even the owner who was equally amazing. We shared the bacon appetizer the first night which was delicious and I really wish we had a chance to try their other food. My only regret is that we do not live closer and cannot visit all the time because the atmosphere is really the best we’ve experienced in a long time. I will be telling everyone about this place for a very long time to come!
