I think the most important thing is the food, and we have delicious food. You have to have good food or people won’t come back. When we took ownership in 1996, business was very slow. But we’ve turned things around and gone back to the basics. We make everything from scratch-from stocks and sauces down to the smallest detail, like croutons for the Caesar salad. It’s a traditional way to do things, and it sets us apart. There are few restaurants that take the time or money to do it right, but we do.

Delicious food, exceptional service. Little pricey. Limoncello martinis really good, $20 for 1 though, which is a little high. Romantic setting. Good to go out for something special like an anniversary or date.
We came upon this place 4 years ago when there was no parking at another restaurant in the Little Italy section of Philly, and we saw Dante and Luigi's vallet sign! We come here every October when we are in town for a charity event. The food is so worth the ride from Long Island! Always amazing, with a such a warm atmosphere! Love the history of thus place; a must try when in Philly!
Fantastic building inside, you would never imagine the interior from the outside. Moving onto the food, we had the pasta vodka and the ravioli style crab special with accompanying starters. Tasted excellent and all made in house. Our waiter Joe was also excellent, polite and knowledgeable. Would recommend this place!
