Family owned Ray's Cafe & Tea House has been featured in Philadelphia Magazine and Zagat for good reason. While the sublime siphon coffee and tea are delightful, there is plenty more to love about the restaurant, too. For example, the shrimp spring rolls are very popular. The vegetarian spring rolls have a lot of fans, as well. If you're a fan of beef noodle soup, you should definitely order it at Ray's. The seaweed salad is a great way to begin your meal and you can't go wrong with making your main course the eggplant with chicken. Celebrate your spacial event at Ray's with up to 10 guests. (Friday and Saturdays are possible). Call a few days ahead to reserve tables.

My friend took me here while visiting in Philly. Such amazing coffee. Had the japanese charcoal roasted coffee and it literally put me in coffee heaven. It's such a homey warm coffeeshop in the middle of Chinatown. They also make the most delicious and juicy dumplings and authentic beef noodle soup. Went home with a pack of their house roasted beans to enjoy ♡

Just a great great find ! Family owned --great staff.... answered all my questions ont their fantastic coffee selection -- and to watch them make it for you is something to be seen !!! I stayed for hours

Favorite spot for locals. The hot and sour soup is my go-to comfort food and hangover cure. Also for coffee and tea connoisseurs - specialty cups brewed with care. Lovely proprietor. Please never close!

A true gem in Chinatown. The House Coffee is incredible; but they have other kinds as well, including siphon method of several exotic types. Lunch is also excellent, if a little pricey. Proprietress Grace is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
