Fireman's Hall is located on the site of Engine Company Number Eight, a descendant of the Union Fire Company, which was founded by Benjamin Franklin in 1736.

Very nice display of vintage Fire equipment. Free to tour but they do accept donations. Tribute to 9/11 is moving

Great place for the history of the fire fighters of Philadelphia. Doesn’t take long to explore and it is not so far out of the way. You can easily fit this self guided visit in when visiting the oldest street in town or the Betsy Ross house.

I visited last October and was floored by how amazing and accommodating the staff are! Dan was willing to answer questions and share his knowledge of the fire service which made the experience so much more interesting. Thank you for providing such a cool experience for all of us who are fire enthusiasts. You can take your time walking through the exhibits, or ask the staff to provide a more structured tour. The memorial to the fallen firefighters was absolutely beautiful. Although it may be small, this was one of the best things I saw in Philly. I truly appreciate that this museum exists and I will be encouraging everyone I know to visit when they are in the Philly area. Thank you all for all you do to keep this museum running. They run solely on donations, so please go support our past, present, and future firefighters!
