In May 2001, the first Sabrina’s Café opened in the space previously occupied by the famed Litto bakery, once the source of Philadelphia’s finest cannoli. Robert and Raquel named their new baby after their new baby, Sabrina Isabella, who had been born in February 2000. Executive Chef Lance Silverman started not long after, working the busy brunch shift.

A little bit of a wait, but well worth it. Very good location (right next to the Italian Market and not far from Whole Foods on South Street) and really easy walk. They have a little waiting room connected with free coffee, water, and a bathroom.... the room is well decorated and has a lot of seats. Food wasn’t too expensive and came out pretty quickly. It’s a little tight inside and you’re kind of close to the other tables, but you still seem to be able to still tune into your own table. Taste was good all the way around!
Love, love, love this place. Have gone here off and on since they opened. We have had so much fin here and many great meals. Lunch Time Favourite: Mel’s Chicken Cutlet. Oh my is that one nice sandwich. Can’t go wrong with any thing on the menu here though. And the staff? 10 Star Awesome they are, even when they are super busy. They have patience made of steel 😊
This place is a local gem in the Italian Market. We probably go about once every couple of months for breakfast. The menu is updated consistently and it has something for everyone (we have three little ones who trend towards the sweet-my wife and I favor the savory options). Staff is friendly and it's usually not yet that crowded if you get there before 9 am. It fills up quickly after that.
I have become loyal to Sabrina’s for one reason only. They accept credit cards for payment. I live much closer to Honeys, Ants Pants, but I am tired of having to pay with cash at almost every popular brunch spot.
Thank you Sabrina’s for accepting cards. You’ve gained a loyal customer and fan.
Oh and the food is great too!
