Lolita is a Modern Mexican Restaurant located in Philadelphia in Midtown Village. Originally opened in 2004 by restaurateurs Chef Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran, it underwent a major renovation in 2014 and reopened with a fresh look, a new Mexican street food-inspired menu and a full liquor license. The extensive full-scale renovation highlights the addition of a 16-seat bar and chef's counter looking into the open kitchen. Lolita seats 45 guests with additional outdoor sidewalk seating in the warmer months. Reservations are accepted every day for lunch and dinner, while seating at the bar and chef’s counter is on a first come, first served basis. They have a full liquor license and accept all major credit cards.
Street food-inspired modern Mexican fare. Lolita’s main dining room can only accommodate parties up to 5 guests so restaurant is only available to buy out the entire restaurant for private event up to 40 guests for a seated function and up to 60 for a standing reception. The food and beverage minimum is $7,800-$8,100 to host a private event at Lolita. For larger events,there is private event space located on the 2nd floor of sister restaurant, Barbuzzo (110 S. 13th St) which accommodates up to 55 for a seated event or 85 for a reception. The space has its own kitchen and bar area and is completely private. Parties booked at either space serves private dining menus incorporating items from all 5 restaurant concepts which are use them for all group dining.
