German for “fat pig,” Fette Sau specializes in high-quality, locally sourced meats, dry-rubbed, smoked on the premises and sold by the pound for a remarkable take on American barbecue. A collaboration between Stephen Starr and New York restaurateur Joe Carroll, this outpost has a Philadelphia flavor all its own. Brisket, pork ribs, organic chicken and hot Italian sausage are just a few of the meat options, complemented by simple sides and killer beer, cider and bourbon lists. A daily-changing menu ensures no two visits are ever the same.

this place is pricey, but the food is delicious. all of the meats are perfectly smoked, and the sides are incredible. the greens and sweet potatoes are my favorites, but the beans and cornbread are top notch as well. i cant wait to go back
Went here during a beer festival and although the line was long the food was worth the wait! Staff were also friendly when I wasn't completely sure how to go about ordering. I also like the atmosphere.
For Happy Hour this place is tops. Great beer on tap at half-price. And the food? Great set-up actually: get in queue, tell them how much meat you want - and any sides - pay and sit any of the long tables and enjoy. Grab a few of the complimentary wet-naps, you'll need them. While there are items for vegetarians at Fette Say, this place is really about the meat. Seriously. I had a half-pound of the pork belly (about six medium-thick slices [don't judge]) and the smoked deviled eggs (also a happy hour special). That was about $15. With a $4 beer total was less than $20 not counting tip. Not bad.
Totally solid all the way around. Over the top cheesy macaroni with the perfect hint of jalapeno. But the real story here is the amazing pork belly. Have never had it tastier than this! Did I mention the great bourbon selection! Must go, and my favorite Philly BBQ so far. Fish town is a great foodie walk if you have an appetite. Cheers.
Went here for the first time, and was blown away. Easily became one of my favorite restaurants. The way they created the restaurant and the atmosphere is amazing. Makes you feel like you’re down in the south and not in Philadelphia any more. The food and drinks were just delicious. Will be coming back here all the time !
