Wow what a treat this was. I recently moved into the neighborhood and was looking for something good to eat happen to call this restaurant and they said if you can get here in the next 30 minutes we can seat you.. I must tell you that on the weekend they take a credit card to hold your reservation. It’s very small and quaint. It’s a BYOB so you can bring your best wine. My brother and I both had the tasting menu and it was superb. Fast-forward two weeks later this restaurant just received top new restaurant in the country. So I’m sure now it will be even harder to get a reservation especially on the weekends. But roll the dice you might get lucky. We will be returning very soon.
Absolutely fantastic and creative food. The octopus was the best I’ve ever had. Wine pairing suggestions on the website were welcome and accurate. It was very helpful to get an idea of what to bring for the BYO component.
Food was very good, but extremely expensive. Atmosphere was fantastic, very welcoming, and they make the experience feel personal. However, the menu has almost no details: only the ingredients of each dish are listed, nothing about how they're prepared. As a result of this, I didn't know that one of my dishes was raw until it arrived at the table. I sent it back, and had the cheese plate instead. They handled the situation well, but it could have been avoided in the first place if the menu was more informative.
